Attention Potterheads! Although the Harry Potter novels and books came out in the early 2000s, the popularity of this franchise has continued to grow over the years, as the generation which grew up with these books got older and passed on the cultural phenomenon to their children.
Popular retailer Target is known for releasing pop culture-based home goods and housewares, attracting everyone from kids to college students to mothers. Now, Target is unveiling an entire line of housewares based on items seen or thought of in the popular Harry Potter universe.
These housewares include kitchen items, decor, dining sets and more. the entire collection has nearly five hundred pieces, so there is definitely something for everyone. According to Mark Tritton, the executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of Target, “Our guests love Harry Potter—and with our incredible assortment and exclusives, Target’s the ultimate destination for all things Harry Potter.”
Want to have your very own Mirror or Erised? You can! Target is offering the replica mirror complete with the inscription on the top, although your true hearts desire may be optional when looking into it. Another popular item if the Triwizard Cup, which is the silver cup that Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory touched to end the Triwizard Cup in the fourth story.
When you go to Target’s website, you can even sort through the Harry Potter collection by Hogwarts House, so Ravenclaws, Slytherins, Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors can get their own house merchandise without looking through everyone else’s.
The collection is also a partnership with popular toymaker LEGO, and includes dozens of sets of toys from the Hogwarts Express to Hagrid’s Hut to Quidditch matches. These toys have a retail price between twenty and sixty dollars which is similar to the housewares collection as well.
