Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl is an actress who’s had a long career in Hollywood. She began acting at a young age, but her star really shined in her role on Grey’s Anatomy. And while the media has plenty to say about Heigl, one thing that tends to get left out of the news is Heigl’s serious love for animals.

And Katherine Heigl isn’t just your average cat or dog lover. She adores animals of all kinds — and with plenty of space to roam on her Utah property, she’s welcomed a whopping 34 pets into her home. Or, at least she thinks it’s 34. She’s a pet parent to so many animals that she’s actually lost count.

Heigl does know that she has eight dogs, four cats, nine horses, two mini horses, two donkeys, two goats, and 10 chickens (give or take a few). Whenever she heads home to Utah, she’s surrounded by all of her adorable pets.

Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon might seem like the least likely actress to have a whole farm’s worth of animals at home. After all, she’s well-known for playing some pretty stylish, although meticulous, characters on film and TV. But the real Reese Witherspoon isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, especially when it comes to her beloved pets.

Witherspoon originally had pretty “normal” pets — a French Bulldog named Pepper, a chocolate lab named Hank, and a bill terrier named Lou Ann. But she simply couldn’t resist growing her home and the number of pets in it. Now, Witherspoon has her three dogs, two donkeys named Honky and Tonky, two pigs, three goats, 20 chickens, and a horse. Keeping up with all of these pets must be a totally different job than being on-set filming!

Mike Tyson

You’re probably wondering why Mike Tyson is on a list of celebrities who fans wouldn’t expect to have a lot of pets. After all, Mike Tyson is well-known for keeping some truly wild pets — like the tiger he once owned that captured the world’s attention. But that tiger isn’t the only pet Tyson has had over the years, and today, he has quite the collection of “furry” friends.

Now that he’s retired and mostly out of the limelight, Mike Tyson has taken up a new hobby that’s centered entirely around his pets. He’s become interested in pigeon racing, and he now owns thousands of domesticated pigeons. That’s right: former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson is the parent of thousands of pet birds!

Of course, Tyson proved himself to be an animal lover years ago. In addition to his tigers, Tyson also had a lion as a pet for some time. He’s also loved pigeons for many years, even crediting his first fight as a kid to fighting with another boy over a pigeon.
